The XCL-CG510 (black and white) and XCL-CG510C (color) are the latest industrial cameras from Sony's Pregius GSCMOS sensor technology. The XCL-CG510 combines the best of Sony technology in a practical cubic form factor, optimized for use in the industrial vision and non-manufacturing vision markets.

The XCL-CG series replaces the well-known XCL-C series CCD series, bringing the transformational benefits of Sony GSCMOS Pregius technology. Building on Sony's industry-leading Global Shutter CMOS sensor technology, the XCL-CG510 combines the highly innovative IMX264 5.1MP GSCMOS high-speed sensor with Sony's rich heritage of complete camera technology and a camera interface. Single image processing
Utilizing both Sony GSCMOS Pregius technology and imaging expertise,the XCL-CG510 features unique image processing capabilities,such as:

Transfer of high frame rate images
The XCL-CG510 has a high read rate of uncompressed images for crisp, clear results. Using a PoCL-compatible Camera Link connector, the XCL-CG510 achieves up to 35 frames per second (fps). Other frame rates are selectable. This allows the camera to capture moving objects quickly without sacrificing image quality.

Shading correction
With integrated shading correction and Pregius sensor technology, the XCL-CG510 camera minimizes the uneven image intensity often caused by light and / or lens. Internal hardware processing reduces the need for external image correction normally performed via an acquisition card and a PC. This convenient feature reduces the PC's processing load and simplifies the processing task.

Fault correction
The XCL-CG510 can automatically reduce blemishes (such as white and black dots) throughout the imaging area directly inside the camera. This feature simplifies image processing.

Reading the temperature
The camera comes with an internal temperature sensor. The host device can receive temperature information by issuing a command. This eliminates the need for a separate sensor and simplifies system configuration.

Memory channel (user)
In addition to the factory default settings, up to 16 camera settings (including brightness, gamma, shutter, gain, and firing mode) can be preset to suit each particular scene

Block trigger mode and sequential trigger mode
The XCL-CG510 features advanced block and sequential trigger modes in addition to free-run trigger mode. Each camera supports 16
memory channels that can store up to 16 different camera configurations (for example, exposure and gain).
Mass Trigger mode allows these cameras to capture up to 16 images in rapid succession using a single software or hardware trigger. The sequential trigger mode allows each camera to capture a single image using successive configurations stored in the memory channels with each software or hardware trigger.

Consultation Table (LUT)
The XCL-CG510 camera supports a conversion table that converts the input luminance signal to the required digital output. It supports factory presets such as user-defined Binarization and LUT.

Industrial design
