Immersion Depth
- The camera must be IP68 waterproof and resistant to operating pressure.
- We calculate 1 bar for every 10 meters of water column.
Underwater Camera Material: Depending on Water Nature
The camera must be corrosion-resistant.
The material and seals must be adapted.
Each material has its own chemical resistance chart.
Image Quality
- The signal and resolution must be compatible with cables and displays.
- Video quality depends on the desired level of detail, e.g., for precise measurements or spotting very small objects.
Our resolutions range from 720x576 up to Full-HD, 4K, and soon 8K.

Lighting
Illuminated Area
Avoid integrated lighting or turn it off. Otherwise, you will illuminate floating particles and cause a "fog" effect.
Dark area but clear water
Integrated lighting is a good option.
Turbid water
Avoid integrated lighting; choose an external spotlight instead. Place it away from the camera and point it toward the target to avoid lighting particles in front of the lens port.
Practical Guide: Optics and Video Signal
Lens Port
Properly defining the lens will allow for better rendering.
Flat lens port: Simplicity and economy
The angle in water is narrower than in air due to light refraction.
Our ports are made of polycarbonate or sapphire crystal.
Hemispherical lens port: Wider field of view
Allows for wide-angle images underwater. The angle in air is identical to that in water.
Example: filming a long object at a short distance.
Lens
The choice of lens will define the viewing angle. To perfectly match your project, we have calculation tools to find the best lens.
Focus is the adjustment of the distance at which the image will be sharp.
A special setting will be necessary if you wish to see very close-up, for example, for detailed tank inspections.
Video Signal
The video signal is an element not to be overlooked; here are the characteristics of each possibility.
Analog Adapts to older installations via coaxial.
HD Coaxial Full-HD image via coaxial cable.
IP Network Video quality up to 4K, Ethernet connectivity, and remote access.
SDI Video quality up to 4K with advanced settings.
GigE Very high resolution or high frame rate per second.
