Description of the PTZ Camera Control Joystick

This joystick was developed for operating cameras in extreme outdoor conditions.

With its ergonomic grip, you can control cameras or motorized turrets using just one hand.

The remote control is IP66 waterproof and uses the Pelco-D protocol over an RS485 bus.

The camera address and baud rate can be configured during power-up by holding down the corresponding buttons.
In response, an LED lights up in the corresponding color while the button is held down.

The configuration is stored in flash memory and will be retained for future startups.
By default, the device (camera) address is set to 1, and the baud rate to 2400 baud.

Functions

TILT and PAN motor activation is controlled proportionally via the joystick.
Exiting the joystick menu is done the same way.
A 15-second timeout restores standard PTZ functions if the exit is not confirmed.

The NEAR button adjusts focus for close range, and the FAR button adjusts it for long range.
Pressing both the F1 and Focus NEAR buttons simultaneously resets the focus to automatic mode.
