The SX800 is a long-range surveillance camera for the video surveillance market. The system incorporates two high-performance elements, a full HD camera and a 40x optical stabilization zoom lens. This innovation is the result of many years of experience in the digital camera industry and a commitment to the highest optical quality. With its powerful 1 / 1.8 "image sensor, wide focal length range - from 20mm to 800mm - and state-of-the-art image processing technology, the SX800 is ideally suited for aerial surveillance .

Security needs are growing in modern societies. Surveillance cameras with large focal lengths are not exclusively dedicated to the treatment of sensitive places such as border surveillance; they are increasingly integrated with public infrastructure such as airports, seaports and highways.

Long-range surveillance systems face multiple challenges. In fact, the smallest optical vibrations with a large focal length can compromise the sharpness of the images. Built-in high-speed autofocus delivers a crisp, well-defined image in less than a second, while a fog filter and heat-mist reduction technology help prevent weather hazards.

The system delivers images of constant sharpness of objects located several kilometers away. In addition, the integrated design of the SX800 reduces the important adjustment work that is usually required when installing a camera.

A recent promotional video from Fujifilm shows how well the camera is able to read a pocket sign at a distance of 2.2 km, while the video above shows the camera in the course of accurate map of the Observation platform of the Tokyo Tower at 3 km.
